About Bootblack Dire

Four boots and seven laces ago...
While most are born with silver spoons in their mouths, I had
a black boot. At age 21, I joined the military and got my hands on my
regulation boots. While I worked on them for the first time I knew it
was love at first boot. Being that said along with my leather journey I
also looked for a way to fulfill and grow that special bond between boy
and boot.
While on my Bootblack journey, I received training from my
owners, as well as, support from Elegant, Booboo, Cub Spencer, Q, Gwen,
and BJ. On April 12, 2008; I bootblacked for the first time in public at
Beyond Leather, Hardy Haberman was the first person in my chair. I had a
great time bootblacking with Q and Chris.
The next public Venue was at Steel/Jackhammer's "Leather &
Fetish fantasy" night on April 26, 2008. It was my first pay night,
money aside, it was a great night. I also have bootblacked Slammers and
Bill's filling station,I am currently bootblacking at Hombre.
I was handed down my current bootblack stand by Gwen Hardy. I
was finally able to graduate from my bootblack treasure box to a real
bootblack stand. I am and always will work for tips, my feeling is to
give a suggested donation amount but whatever I get, I don't even look
at it till the end, always giving each person in my chair the same
service whether I get $0 or $100.
For me, Bootblacking is about that energy exchange between
myself and whomever is in my chair, servicing not just their boots and
leathers, but, servicing them the moment they sit in my chair, making it
the best time they've had with clothes on.
I have been a pup for over 5 years and am the proud pup of Master Jazz
I was the recipient of the Florida Leather SIR/boy 2006
Leather Leadership Award presented by Travis Smith and Tom Stice, for
the work I had done for the pup and Handler community in Florida as well
as other work I had done in the Florida community. I am one of the
producers of the Florida Fetish Weekend. I have also presented classes
on Pup Play Basics and Comprehensive Pup Play.
I started Full Metal Kennel, a site dedicated to educating
the community and aiding in awareness about pups in the community.
I was the mascot for Leathercrombie, an event produced by
Michael Egdes that was held at Elements Bar for many months.
I am one of the few pups in South Florida to publicly appear
in pup gear and working in South Florida to help spread and understand
what the pup lifestyle is all about. I am also the creator of the
Southeast Pup Party, that ran during the Florida Fetish Weekend.
