WHIPS & FLAGELLATION
WHIPPING Rubber Whips - You should be careful using these as they can cut if used roughly. Proceed with care, they can produce cuts, and cuts equal blood = DANGER. Take care both in use and in cleaning after wards. Horse-Whips - My favorites are the short riding crops. Tack stores are a good outlet, but choose the material carefully. The harder the material the more damage you will do. The bull whip is the ultimate flogging tool, but it does not take long to make mincemeat out of a bare back. When buying these items take care to avoid whips with knots at the end, or hard leather. SOME HISTORY Whipping - The lash has been used since before the Middle Ages. In the ancient days, whips and scourges were often used to flay the wrong - doer open, eventually resulting in sepsis, loss of blood, and death. Whips were later developed to punish a person severely. Not until 1948 was judicial flogging abolished in Britain. The English Vice (Ian Gibson, Gerald Duckworth & Co., London) is a wonderful book for those wanting more information. Judicial flogging was used to castigate sex offenders, especially 'flashers'. Punishment was often with a cat o nine tails. The suggestion that flogging and especially birching might arouse sexual interests in either the punished or the executioner put flogging off of the punishment books for good. Techniques - Have the submissive fully secured for a whipping scene. There are times when no bonds are necessary such as spanking scenes (mother/son) or caning scenes (teacher/pupil). Blows to the kidney may cause bruising or permanent injury and MUST BE AVOIDED. Joints are another area to avoid, this could cause ligament or joint problems. Despite warnings on this you may elect to produce sensations on the backs of knees, elbows etc. Never hit the back of the neck, as such blows could cause spinal damage. The head is off limits also - we know as children that a light blow to the temples could cause immediate death, however face slapping is OK. The scrotal sac is a popular place to strike. All men fear loss of their manhood, and strikes to this area produce psychological fear in addition to pain. Should you wish to bring pain to this area, use a ball stretcher, and weights. Never strike the penis hard or with a solid instrument. Instead use leather or another soft item for penis torture. SPANKING Spanking is something that can be done in public or private. A severe spanking is considered a childish correction, and therefore shaming. It is suitable for all age groups. Usually the punishing device is the governesses open palm, and for this I like to administer brisk, spankings. The next spank arrives before my culprit has time to absorb it, and this helps to promote a rapid loss of self-control and so the weeping state that usually signals the end of the punishment. After a few strokes you should be able to see the reddening of the skin, where your blows have been landing. I usually punish one buttock then the other, then two cheeks together, then a low blow, then a high blow, and finally a thigh. (However, I mix these up so that my culprit cannot anticipate it.) If I'm putting the culprit across my lap, I take him by the ear or the hair and march him to the place where I intend to sit. I unbutton his rousers, and push him firmly so that he lies down across my lat. The Taws have a long and distinguished history, are made from various materials and are 'smacking' instruments. I've used the taws on hands, clothed bottoms, bared bottoms, and if after being smacked on the bared bottom and your culprit isn't in any distress, then you have been much to mild. A tapette or paddle as they are known in the United States, is one of the severest instruments used for smacking. A ping pong paddle works just as well also. The sound of the paddle's impact is the most tremendous 'whack', and it normally leaves no bruises when used correctly. Although the cane and the birch were famous instruments for corporal punishment in English public schools, (I know better than most people, as I went to one, perhaps that is why I am now a Top), and reform schools the paddle is still a favorite. Other materials that are used, are leather paddles, sometimes with fur on one side, or studs, wooden paddles (fraternity) different shapes, and sizes. Birching - The birch was used prior to the cane. It consisted of many switches all bundled together. A switch is a single tree branch cut to 3 foot lengths, and fairly thin. Usually twigs, leaves etc., are broken off, I usually peel the switch - this gives it more of a snap (I learned this from my Grandfather who used to like to lay the switch on my siblings). The birch-rod is for serious offences only. It must be a very grave situation for me to take the trouble to administer a proper birching. It gives a combination smacking and lashing. After the punishment has been administered, and as soon as the culprit is able to speak, I order him to get off my knees and make the final act of contrition - Kissing the rod. Caning - This is a sport. At my school caning was primarily given to the hands rather than on your ass. After a caning the student was forced to say "Thank you Sir, May I have another?" after each stroke. The cane can leave nasty marks that linger. In Canada and England players primarily focus on caning, and there are caning-like dungeon parties. The cane is a highly penetrating item, and care must be taken when administering it - so much is obvious. The arm and wrist movement is a complex one, and the achievement of a good caning action is therefore a matter of some diligence and constant practice. Be careful as the cane can cut, and scar, and that is simple brutality. For a hand-caning scene, I like to take the cane, and command the culprit to stand up and hold out his hand, fingers extended, arm and wrist stiff, at shoulder height. I then take my aim, and strike vertically downwards, with a sharp, swishing action, using the wrist and forearm rather than the shoulder muscles. I aim to strike the palm at a diagonal angle. Usually the culprit will pull his hand away immediately and stick it under his arm. Withdrawing it at the last minute is a serious offence, and immediately relates into the hand-caning being translated into another type of caning. Another popular stance that I like, is to make the culprit grab his ankles or touch his toes. After the chastisement the culprit is normally sent back to his table to complete his work, or made to stand in the corner for a few minutes. PUNISHMENT BOOKS In state, and church schools, (In England) the law requires that you keep a punishment book, these are printed and sold by educational booksellers, but I don't think that they have enough categories, and cannot begin to tell a tale about the whipping. Therefore I created my own. My punishment book contains the following categories:
Whenever a 'boy' graduates, or passes out, he is given a list of all the punishment book entries which apply to himself, as a keepsake, and a reminder of the fate that befalls bad boys. His parents or guardians are also furnished with a similar list, on a monthly basis, if they so require. GAGS Gags are used to render people speechless, which has a great psychological impact. Some bottoms prefer gags because they muffle their screams of ecstasy. Those who use gags have an alternate signal to replace the safe word. We have many types of gags that we use, they include bridles, ball gags, muzzles, penis gags, electrical tape, panties, dildos, and bar gags. Unless it renders the jaw inactive, gags such as electrical tape are typically ineffective. Ball gags are effective and safe as long as they are anchored or strung onto a strap that is wide enough to be comfortable. Muzzles or head harnesses are used by many including us, because they are comfortable, generally anchor the jaw, and do a good job of muffling any sound. The sub can still speak, although not very well... Harnesses Body harnesses are used for decorative attire, suspension, and to anchor onto other restraints. Decorative harnesses are made of rope in bondage scenes and of leather for costumes. Harnesses used most for suspension are parachute harnesses which are available at most Army Navy Surplus stores - these are much better for the couple of who occasionally play, and are a lot cheaper than the leather ones that you can purchase at stores such as The Leather Rack etc., (And they are guaranteed to be safe!) Mummification or Cocooning About the most complete form of bondage is to wrap someone up so they are completely immobile. The most popular way to mummify someone is with plastic wrap. A common technique is to wrap each limb separately, then wrap the arms to the sides, and then wrap the legs together--and then help your submissive lie down on an adjacent soft surface. You can then cut holes (carefully!) to access any especially sensitive areas, or wrap duct tape over it all for extra security, or add gags, blindfolds, etc. One way the body releases heat is by sweating, and while mummified you can sweat too much, so make sure your sub doesn't overheat--and have a blanket ready to cover them with when you cut them out of their cocoon, using the bandage scissors (obtainable from medical supply stores--one flat blade makes cutting easier) which you of course have ready to hand. And as always, monitor your submissive very carefully; they are helpless, and your neglect or inattention could spell disaster. Hoods Many leather stores and artisans make bondage hoods. They are sometimes called discipline helmets also. These are typically constricted of leather or rubber. Some have simple zippers, and you zip them up to secure them. Others have laces on the back and/or the sides, to enable the hood to be laced more tightly, for greater bondage effect. Some hoods have eye holes, some don't. Some hoods have mouth holes, some don't. Some deluxe hoods have built-in earmuffs or even space for earphones, for sensory deprivation. Almost all hoods have nose holes, for obvious reasons. Hoods can restrict a bottom's breathing quite seriously, and tops must remain continually aware of their bottom's condition while their bottom is wearing a hood--especially if the hood is combined with any form of gag. Do not leave a hooded bottom alone; breathing difficulty can come on quickly. Some people believe that any hood without a zipper or other extra-quick-release mechanism is too dangerous to use on a bottom. In any case, you should have some bandage scissors at the ready if the hood needs to be removed in a big hurry. A hood is a very powerful device. It strongly increases your sense of helplessness, confinement, and makes everything that much more intense. They are usually considered advanced pieces of equipment, with strong implications for psychology and technique. Bodybags If you like being bound, the ultimate extreme is bondage which encompasses your entire body, leaving you with no motion whatever. Bondage Body bags (or "sleep sacks") resemble a well-tailored, snug sleeping bag, often made out of leather or spandex. Spandex Body bags are the least expensive, and if made from heavy enough spandex can be very restrictive indeed. Often Body bags have an opening at the upper end, through which you slide your feet, pulling the bag up to your neck. Many have other openings for genitals or nipples, so your slave can be pleasured or tortured while immobile. Leather Body bags can be arbitrarily complex (and expensive); some have built-in internal arm sleeves to further minimize motion, or suspension straps so the bag, bottom and all, can be lifted into the air. Some have laces around the outside so the bag can be cinched to a downright painful tightness. If you REALLY have money to burn, you can even get inflatable rubber Body bags--get in it and pump it up, and float away! Caveats about breathing and quick-release apply here as well. Hobble skirts Fetish clothing is often designed not just to look good and feel good, but to act almost as bondage in its own right. Hobble skirts are a perfect example: they are simply skirts which fit very snugly from waist down to ankles. Often the wearer can take steps of only a few inches while wearing the skirt (thus the term "hobble skirt"). When combined with a pair of high heels, these skirts can be almost totally immobilizing, even without any other bondage. Leather or rubber are (again) the typical materials, though some dedicated tailors make their own from velvet or satin or other sensuous materials. Arm binders Restraints, typically leather, that bind both arms behind the back. Some resemble large gloves that pull up over both arms and buckle around the shoulders. Others are straps that go down the middle of the back and have attached wrist cuffs. Leather restraints are usually expensive, and another disadvantage is that they are not as adjustable as rope or handcuffs. Most cuffs make you choose between one-half inch intervals, as with an ordinary belt. Things that I like to do with special slaves of mine, is get them their own cuffs custom made, with their initials engraved into them, or the leather dyed their favorite color. There are several ways this can be accomplished. The first is to prohibit the slave any form of sexual expression including masturbation. The most two common medical reasons are cancer of the testes and prostate cancer. Castration surgery involves the opening of the scrotal sac and excising of the two testes. Castration surgery is performed as part of a sex change operation in conjunction with other surgeries and female hormone treatment. A word of caution to any males contemplating non medical castration surgery and to Dominant Females who contemplate castrating willing males. As mentioned earlier, you must be aware of the laws in your country regarding castration surgery in a non medical environment. Any surgery in a medical environment is strictly controlled in most countries. Also the term willing males must be strictly observed. The male must be a willing participant. The laws regarding castration surgery in most countries do not generally prohibit Dominant Females from counseling males who have a castration fixation. Actually I have no information as to whether they still exist but have only heard of their prior existence ( about ten years ago ) by means of articles in magazines which tell of such. My knowledge of the "Theatre" is only by third party means so I personally have no other knowledge of their operations or whether they still exist. There are several references to the term " eunuch " in The Holy Bible. Male volunteers were often made eunuchs to obtain a position of trust. Many positions such as harem keeper required such. Also peoples at war often castrated the captured soldiers. This implied a punishment for their military service to the opposing side and ensured that no further offspring would come from these soldiers. In various countries, prisoners were castrated as part of their sentence. Neutering today generally involves pets or farm livestock. Responsible pet ownership usually implies the neutering of the pet. This is usually done by a veterinary doctor. The results are a more even tempered pet and no further offspring. On farms and ranches, farm livestock are castrated by the farm hands. Cattle and pigs when castrated have better meat for human consumption, are more even tempered and produce no offspring. Male animals which have not been castrated are kept for breeding purposes only. Generally animals such as the bull tend to be violent and dangerous while the castrated steer is a much more docile animal. Castration in the News In Edmonton Alberta a man at the Misericordia Hospital was found in the parking lot with his entire genitalia recently removed. At first the police were looking for who did this deed. They then discovered that the man had recently committed a sex crime against a Woman and in a mood of repentance, did a self mutilation with a knife. In a small rural area a youth was riding his motorbike across his father's field. The seat of the motorbike had been removed. While he was thus riding his balls fell into one on the holes under where the seat would have been on the motorbike. He was thrown off the motorbike but his balls remained behind. One man who discovered that another man had been sleeping with his wife castrated the other man and fed the freshly sliced testes and scrotum to his dog. ( To a dog, it's just fresh meat ) Castration in the Movies Ilsa - She Wolf of the S.S. - a young man wakes up in the bed of Ilsa, a heavy chested Germanic blonde after what would be believed to be a night of sex. He believed that he had found Her favor and would be spared the harsh treatment of other prisoners in the camp. He was surprised when two of Her Assistants dragged him from the room. He was taken to and fastened on a crude operating table. Ilsa joins Her Two Assistants . One of the Assistants proceeds to castrate the screaming man with a semi circle shaped blade. The Assistants were then dismissed from the room. Ilsa takes up the blade and explains to the man " there is a doctor in Berlin who examines the penis' of inferior men. Yours will be sent to him." Chains Chains are used for suspension or attaching one restraint to the other. They can be used to adorn the body, or to connect various ring piercings on the body. Chains because they rattle and feel cold, add tactile and auditory sensations to the bondage scene. Chains are preferred by some for suspension because they are heavy duty and various items can be hung from the links. A 3" or 4" panic snap is added to provide for immediate release. |
