How do you keep real life out?

Keeping real life out. So many times I see people get into a D/s relationship with rules, protocols and direction for the relationship. As times goes on, the D/s relationship will dissolve as real life is allowed to come in and take over. Then, one day you wake up to find yourself in a kinky vanilla relationship scratching your head wondering how it happened. One of the things people need to do is to put safeguards up so real life doesn't take over. Many people will disagree with me, but I consider my slave to be "cherished property" and I put her above all else. Friends will come and go, money will be made and lost and jobs will change. However, I plan on keeping my slave the rest of her life. Slaves are needy people and need the undivided attention of their Master. Here are three things I do to keep real life out.

1. Whenever we are on the phone and I get another incoming call, I don't answer it. Nothing is more important than letting my slave know she is valued. Plus it goes back to getting in our 15 hours a week of conversation that women require.
2. Uninterrupted scheduled time together. I schedule time for us each week. During that time, I don't answer the phone, turn off the pager and cell phone. Our time is our time.
3. I also stay on top of our daily rituals. One of our rituals is slave always remove and puts on my shoes/boots. Doesn't matter how late we are running behind, I make the time for this ritual. True, it would be so much quicker for me to do it, but it is more important that we don't allow real life to interrupt our daily rituals.
