Whip Background A single-tailed whip is essentially a whip with just one tail. The most symbolically powerful in the scene is the bullwhip. Everyone's read the stories where the Top takes a twenty-foot bullwhip and expertly carves the Mona Lisa on the bottom's back. Bullwhips can indeed be used in the scene, to great effect. However, to use a bullwhip indoors, you'll need a lot of space. Low ceilings, exposed pipes and the like make life difficult for the bullwhip user. The signal whip is most commonly used in the scene. In the sci-fi con scene, four-foot David Morgan signal whips were all the rage at one time. You simply had to have one in your toy bag or else you weren't cool. These whips are the most common single tails found in toy bags. They're smaller and easier to use in close quarters and indoors. |
