Prince Albert

Will the real Prince Albert stand up???? And don't forget the
Prince Albert!
WHAT???? The WHAT?
The needle goes through the tip of the penis, through the
urethra, and comes out underneath. There's a surgical steel
ring.
The procedure gets its title from the prince who in the 1800's
had himself pierced to stretch out uncircumcised skin under tight
fitting pants. Piercings history doesn't stop there. What may
seem like merely a fad of the 90's dates back to the pharaohs.
Likewise, it was practiced by Julius Caesar's men and has long
been a part of rituals in tribes found worldwide.
At least as early as the 14th century B.C., jewelry worn through
the navel denoted royalty. Piercing in Caesar's time was more
useful. Guards would fasten their caps to rings looped through
the nipples.
For Mant tribes body piercings were a sign of beauty, honor
and distinction. Often, the bigger the ornament worn, the
better, being able to withstand the pain proved strength
and courage.
Another, purely for decoration, they say. It's a noticeable
--- though rather permanent--- form of dressing up, similar
to new clothes or different eyeglasses.
Another reason is that piercing is a "rite of passage,
" they say. Just like in primitive cultures, where boys
and girls are tattooed or pierced to mark their passage into
adulthood, so are people of today marking some significant
point in their lives with new earring or a navel loop.
However, the ultimate reason why people may get their bodies
pierced is that it might offer then a better way to get in
touch with themselves.
Most popular right now is the navel. The nostril ring has
been pretty standard for a while. While genital piercing
is fairly common in California.
