RIDING EROTICISM

It was during the gentle trot back to the stables after my daily ride one morning last week that I began thinking more seriously of the many readers e-mail forwarded to me by the attractive young ladies in the Mailing department at the MMPGroup Sites. All letters from readers are of course most welcome and the majority of them are full of interest. Now and then a letter comes along that causes some considerable amusement and I could not resist a smile when I recalled one from a puzzled husband in the midlands. Before I comment on his letter I will quote the most interesting paragraphs to you, so here goes:

"Dear Mistress Michelle

I hope you will allow me the pleasure of addressing you as Mistress for although, of course, we have not met, I feel I know you so well from my avid reading of all your articles which have been published in my favorite magazines. It is because I have this feeling of closeness with you through the pages of the magazines that I am able to put pen to paper and write about one or two things that have been puzzling me concerning the fad you seem to call the `Riding Cult'.

I am always over-awed at the size and power of a horse whenever I am in close proximity of the proud beast. It is my wife who is the rider in our family, and although many times during the six years of our marriage she has tried to persuade me to share her hobby I have so far not had sufficient courage to participate.

My wife was a regular rider before our marriage, and except for just a few months immediately after the honeymoon she has ridden at least once a week and very often twice. It was not until I read your first article, that I began to think about my wife's hobby in a new light. Could it really be that there was an undertone of sexuality connected with horse riding, especially applicable to women?

I found this hard to believe, or understand, at first, but the more thought I gave to the matter the more insistent became the idea that Mistress Michelle knew what she was talking about.

It seemed so possible that a woman astride a horse, her thighs well parted owing to the wide girth of the strong animal, would be open to even the smallest tensions to her sensitive parts through the movement of the horse. I began to watch more closely the up and down jogging of the girl riders when amid all the clatter of many hooves on the cobblestones the 'ride' returned to the stable yard.

It was easy for me to be in the stable yard for I had the excuse of waiting for my wife to return. She liked me to meet her with the car so I could drive her home after her morning ride, and although I could not do this during the week, when I was at work, I could always make a point of meeting her when she rode on Saturdays or Sundays, and so I was afforded many fascinating moments watching the horses returning to the yard and their attractive riders carefully, and some-times painfully, dismounting. I noticed that it was usually the younger riders, those in their late teens or early twenties, and the older women who looked the more flushed and pleased with the exertion of the ride, and it was those in the same age area as my own wife, namely twenty seven, who were less affected.

What do you think the reason for this can be? My own idea on this puzzling question is this. I expect I am quite wrong, for after all I am not even a rider, and someone like yourself, will probably have very different ideas and you will tell me how foolish I am to try and draw conclusions from my semi- ignorance of the riding cult'.

Anyway, I think the reason why the twenty year old age group appear to be more affected from a lengthy ride is that the sensual sensations imparted to them during the jogging or the galloping is something comparatively new to them. I know in this permissive society even girls of that age are supposed to have all sorts of experiences to do with sex, but I am not at all convinced this is true. I think there is a certain type of girl who will seek sexual experience at an early age but I am equally sure that there have been such girls in every generation.

Sex is so much more, open now and can be talked about that the girls who would in previous generations, been wise to keep quiet about their sexual exploits are now free to let the world know about them, and so the myth of permissiveness is further cultivated. No, I believe that the vast majority of girls are almost as prim and proper as their parents would like to believe and therefore when they take up horse- riding they find strange and very exciting sensations being experienced by their bodies, and from what I have seen while waiting in the stable yard most of them make the most of these little 'naughty' tingles they have enjoyed during the ride.

Now for the older women. Why do they show such effects during the jogging or the galloping is something comparatively new to them. Exertion of holding their strong mount in hand? I think not. More likely these matrons are flushed and showing signs of recent excitement because they too, like the younger riders, have delight-ed in the stoking up of their libido passions during the trotting and then the faster galloping of their horse. My view on this is that most of these older women have found they get less satisfaction from their normal sex relationship with their husbands and this extra stimulation they are able to achieve during an energetic riding session is a most welcome bonus for them. A bonus they enjoy to the full and find in some way it helps compensate for the waning gratification of other physical pleasures. This leaves the age section of which my wife is a member. The late twenties and thirties where most of the women are married and are still young and vibrant enough to be enjoying a full and satisfying sexual relationship with their husband. These are the ladies who do not need extra stimulation, they do not have to seek fulfillment by devious ways outside normal sex and so to them the hobby of riding is simply for the surface pleasure and not a means to an end such as achieving quiet unobtrusive orgasms? Of course I expect I am quite wrong, but these are my views, and to a certain extent they are borne out by the reactions of my wife. Not once has she ever suggested, or even hinted, that there is any under-tone of a sexual nature in the pleasures she gets from her horse riding hobby and after reading your articles on the subject she does not give any reason to suppose that she shares either your views or the thrills you experience from participation in the `riding cult'. My letter is too long already and so I must close with a big `thank you' to you Mistress Michelle and I look forward to reading more about the fascinating `riding cult' in future issues."

This reader, who has compiled such an interesting letter, is to be congratulated upon forming so mature, and in my view an accurate, assessment of the pleasures derived from riding by the various age groups. There is probably a great deal of truth in his view although I would not go along with him entirely with the late twenties and thirties for a lot of my friends ho ride with me are in this age group and few make a secret of the sensual delights they are afforded during the ride.

There is no better way of illustrating what I mean than to quote from a letter from a Miss Victoria, whom I would guess to be in her twenties for she tells me she has been married for just two years.

The first interesting paragraph in her letter tells us something about herself. `Possibly because of my dominating character, I, like some of your riding correspondents, derive sexual pleasure and stimulation from riding a powerful horse and sitting astride a properly titillating shaped saddle.' Later in her letter she goes on to explain 'My husband agreed with my request and bought me a sturdy chestnut gelding and also a two seater rubber tired trap. My interest in riding and what sexual satisfaction it gave me was derived from my weekly sessions at a riding stable. Yes, the sexual stimulation I got from the saddle on these short excursions was really exhilerating. The stable did not allow us to wear spurs but I was able to use, discreetly of course, my riding crop. My own gelding had been broken but not schooled when I first had it and I was sufficiently experienced to school it myself. For the schooling sessions I always wore a pair of tight fitting slacks with nothing on underneath as I found riding breeches interfere with the sensual enjoyment too much. After eighteen months I am sure I have the most obedient and responsive horse in the county and he must have one of the most satisfied and contented riders. I really do smpathize with the female sex who have not experienced the stimulation that a saddle can provide when a horse is kept on a tight rein with a curb bit and is jogging rapidly trying to break into a gallop. The power of domination is also really tremendous and whenever I can, I undertake to school other horses from the stable. In conclusion, May I say that I agree with you Mistress Michelle, and that my interest in horse riding has undoubtedly helped me become a more sensual woman and so my husband and I enjoy a full and happy sexual life which we both appreciate very much.
