Words and Phrases to Watch Out For

I honestly hadn't thought much about trigger phrases until I heard a slave tell his owner, "You have no right to tell me what I can do with my spare time!" It was then that I realized that I indeed do have trigger phrases... because the phrase "You have no right..." coming out of the mouth of that "slave" infuriated me.

At first I thought the slave was attempting to be funny or maybe sarcastic, but I realized that he was serious and I honestly didn't know what to say, or even if I should say something at all. The owner of the slave was embarrassed to say the least, and asked the slave whether he was a slave or a sub, the young man stated he was a slave. The owner then asked what was the difference a sub and a slave, the slave stated that a slave has no choices and that a sub does. The owner then simply stated that they would talk about it later and let it be.

It was at that moment I began looking back at other phrases and their hidden meanings.

Slaves:

• Stated: "What would you do to me?" or "What would you do for me?"
  Hidden Meaning: "It's all about ME."
• Stated: "I don't have any limits"
  Hidden Meaning: " I haven't had enough experience to find my limits"
• Stated: "I would do anything for you."
  Hidden Meaning: "I will say anything to you to get you to pay attention to me."
• Stated: "You can do anything to me, or use anything on me you want."
  Hidden Meaning: "I will tell you my limits and boundaries as we go along."
• Stated: "I have had XX yrs experience."
  Hidden Meaning: " I have had XX years Internet experience, X years reading and going to Pay-Per-Doms, and X months real time service."
• Stated: "Everything I have is yours."
  Hidden Meaning: "Everything I have is mine, and you can have what I give you."
• Stated: "How do you meet the needs of a slave?
  Hidden Meaning: "It's all about sex, so just skip to the important stuff, let's talk dirty."
• Stated: "My time is yours."
  Hidden Meaning: "My spare time is yours; sometimes, but only if I am bored and have nothing else to do."
• Stated: "Do you like to keep your slaves naked?"
  Hidden Meaning: "It's all about sex, naked means easy access..."
• Stated: "How do you punish your slaves, will you spank me if I am bad?"
  Hidden Meaning: "It's all about sex, I get off on pain..."
• Stated: "Will you dress me up as a French maid and make me wear women's underwear to humiliate me?" (for males only)
  Hidden Meaning: "Please dress me in frilly, lacy, women's lingerie... it makes me so horny."
• Stated: "I would never dream of telling you what to do."
  Hidden Meaning: "I have learned how to top from the bottom without saying a word."
• Stated: "I need lots of discipline and strict rules to keep me in my place."
  Hidden Meaning: "I am going to challenge everything you say or do and I am going to fight you every step of the way."

Owners

• Stated: "I don't bother with those fancy floggers, they are too showy for me."
  Hidden Meaning: "If I tried Florentine style I would break both my arms."
• Stated: "I have never met a slave I couldn't break."
  Hidden Meaning: "I have only had one slave and he was a wimp."
• Stated: "The Master is always right."
  Hidden Meaning: "I am an egotistical idiot, hear me roar."
• Stated: "A slave must be prepared for anything sexually."
  Hidden Meaning: "Slave, what slave, you're just a hooker I don't have to pay."
• Stated: "A slave is never allowed to question the Master."
  Hidden Meaning: "Don't ask me any questions, I may not know the answer."
• Stated: "It's either my way or the highway."
  Hidden Meaning: "I may not know what I am doing, but whose going to challenge me."
• Stated: "On your knees bitch!"
  Hidden Meaning: "I went decaf today and you are going to pay for it."
• Stated: "I am very possessive about my property."
  Hidden Meaning: "I have real self esteem issues and am a jealous idiot at times."
• Stated: "It's all about control."
  Hidden Meaning: "THE POWER!!!!!"
• Stated: "We will talk about this later."
  Hidden Meaning: "Your ASS is MINE."
• Stated: "You don't have to be strong to have a good scene."
  Hidden Meaning: "I have an evil, sadistic mind and I know how to use it."
• Stated: "Everything you have is mine."
  Hidden Meaning: "Can I borrow twenty bucks?"
• Stated: "I don't need expensive toys, or fancy floggers to prove I am a good Dom."
  Hidden Meaning: "Ace hardware, and Wal-Mart are my friends, if I can't find it there I don't need it."

As you can see there are a lot of hidden meanings in different phrases and statements that individuals use and they may or may not realize the full weight of what they are stating.

I personally find it interesting yet somehow bizarre to know there is a hidden language somehow buried amongst our mundane words.

I suggest that each individual take into careful account each and every word that he or she states. Remember your own words sometimes say much more than you realize.
