Semi-Suspension

Now semi-suspension (or partial suspension) is a great way to learn how full suspension is done, without actually doing a full suspension. Its a bridge between static, and full suspension, and the victim can support there own weight.

Now semi-suspension, means that one foot (or even both) feet is on the floor, and they can support the own weight, while parts of there weight is supported only by rope.

Single Leg Semi-Suspension

The easiest and most safe position to do a semi-suspension.

Chest Harness:
Chart for Semi Suspension Do a standard Chest Harness, which is one of the Load Bearing Areas on the body. Then use a rope wench to tie the chest harness up to a support point. Like a beam or suspension frame.

You want to tie it so it supports the body weight, but does not make them have to stretch their chest up, or get on the tippy toes.

Leg harness:
Then tie a boola-boola on one leg. If you tie it to the upper leg. you will end up suspending the leg forward in front of the body. If you place the boola-boola to the lower leg, the leg will go backward behind the body. Then you do a rope wench from the boola-boola and wench it up to a beam and tie it off.

When you tie off the rope wench on the leg, if the leg is going forward, you want the boola-boola to be just above the knee, and so the upper leg is parallel to the ground.

If you have the leg behind the body, you want the boola-boola above the ankle, knee bent, and lower leg extended back, with the ankle about crotch high or whenever comfortable.

Now you have completed a basic semisuspension!

Arms: Now to finish this off, you can do a box tie, or any other tie you want to do with the arms.

Tips: Always tie the hand last when doing any ties, the wrist are the most common place to have problems with, so you always want to tie them last because of that, and it helps them balance and support themselves till you done with the rest of the body.
